Turkey has overtaken the world giants in terms of steel production growth
Being the world's seventh-largest crude steel producer, Turkey increased its steel production by 16.7 percent in the first eight months of 2021 to 26.6 million tons. Turkey, which has been rapidly dressing the wounds of the pandemic in the industry, has outstripped major manufacturers such as China, Japan, Russia, and South Korea at the rate of increase.
